DESIGN West:

What is it?

DESIGN West is the world's only technical conference and expo for electronics design engineers, entrepreneurs, and technology professionals who create products with electronic content. Held in the heart of Silicon Valley, it is where the world's top design engineers and product developers gather and learn, gain inspiration, and get practical information and hands-on training they can put to immediate use.

Launched in 2012, the four-day DESIGN West event builds upon the solid foundation of engineering education pioneered by the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC). Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2013, ESC is joined by popular design summits including Black Hat and the Android Certification Program.

The conference features over 150 technical lectures, panels, tutorials, certification programs, and hands-on training sessions taught by the industry's top experts on the most relevant software, hardware, and systems design topics and tools for creating great products.

"From Napkin Sketch to Shenzhen"

In dynamic 30-minute sessions engineers directly involved in product design discuss the diabolical challenges and trade-offs inherent in all engineering work--straight from engineers directly involved in product design and development. Covering topics spanning the design cycle from concept through to manufacturing, these sessions focus on how engineers just like you overcame obstacles and brought their ideas to life. Tech Fundamentals

For technology professionals who are new to embedded or embedded professionals who want to pick up skills outside of their core expertise, this series of practical sessions held in our new training on the expo floor covers the basics of how to incorporate embedded control and peripherals into an embedded design, including processor selection, operating systems, software code, and communicating with peripherals. The DESIGN West Advisory Board

The DESIGN West Advisory Board is made up of industry professionals who volunteer each year to help develop the 150+ ESC conference sessions.
